And, we recently canceled our cable - so no lifetime movies or hours of HGTV for me. What's a girl to do? Stalk blogs obviously. And because I have mommy fever I've been all over this one and this one and this one. Though I'll admit that Say Yes to Hoboken had me most attached and dreaming up my future in motherhood.

The baby's future room is a complete and total disaster right now (read: new water heater required emptying the whole over-stuffed closet). Otherwise, I would gladly show you a couple of things we've already salvaged for the little Lougee.
Another question: how do you feel about the safety of older cribs? Like ones passed down from family or say, found left behind?
Depends on what the issue is with it. If there's a chance of lead paint, I'd say no way. If the slats are too far apart... depends. I found a cute little mini crib at a yard sale a couple of years ago, and I've used it for Eli and Siler sleeps in it now. The slats are a little farther apart than they are supposed to be these days, but I don't see the harm. The only thing they ever do is scoot back to where their legs are sticking out, but I think baby arms and legs would still fit through the spaces on a new crib. Plus that can be remedied with a bumper. And my kids always have WAY too big of heads to ever worry about their heads getting stuck. As long as it is sturdy, I am good.
